Hi David, I enjoyed the Adorno on Jazz episode. However, one thing: I you want to comment on a culture, such as African American (and I assume you were referring to that), when assuming socioeconomic standing, you should first do the research. Miles Davis came from an upper middle class family (father was a physician) and he went to Juilliard.
